Manor Place

Manor Place Baths is a striking Grade II listed Victorian landmark in Newington, South London, originally designed by Edward I’Anson’s practice in 1895. Once a bustling public baths, swimming pool and celebrated boxing venue — where legends such as Henry Cooper and Ken Buchanan fought — the building is steeped in rich local history. The elegant red-brick and terracotta façade, clock tower, and grand bathing hall are fine examples of Arts and Crafts and Flemish Renaissance design. The redevelopment of Manor Place transforms this historic building into a dynamic new headquarters for fashion brand Palace, in collaboration with Nike. The scheme seamlessly fuses heritage and contemporary design, providing high-quality office space alongside a community-focused skatepark and a rooftop football pitch — celebrating the site’s vibrant sporting past while creating a bold new chapter in its story.
