The practice provides expertise in respect of Mechanical and Electrical Services systems which serve buildings. Such systems typically include lighting, heating, air-conditioning, water services, lifts and various low voltage systems including fire alarm and access control.
Our staff are qualified to various standards and comprise Chartered Engineers, Incorporated Engineers and Low Carbon Energy Assessors. We utilise the latest CAD Software and dynamic thermal simulation modelling software to design and predict the performance of the mechanical and electrical systems within buildings, the internal comfort temperatures and the resultant energy use. This information is then used to modify the design of the building, working in conjunction with the Architect to adjust the active performance of the building to best reflect the Client’s aspirations for the project.
In addition to our core design activities we also undertake due-diligence surveys, strategic energy and maintenance reviews and various statutory technical assessments including BRUKL Certificates (Part L – Building Regulations), Energy Performance Certificates (Commercial Buildings) and Air Conditioning Inspections.
Whilst technical excellence is an absolute pre-requisite when selecting a Consultant Engineer it does not, in isolation guarantee successful project delivery. Compliance with Client’s procedures, communication skills and personality are also key elements in successful project delivery. Lamorbey Associates is founded on the simple belief that Client service is paramount. The pursuit of this philosophy is fundamental as we strive to develop long-term relationships with our Clients based on trust and mutual respect.
